Executive Committee
The remit of the Executive Committee is to run the day-to-day matters of IPNA. It meets once a year in March or April during a Nephrology related event while the Full Council Meeting is also held once a year in September/ October.

Teaching Courses
The Teaching Courses Committee organises teaching courses all over the world for pediatric nephrologists, pediatricians, nephrologists, GPs and paramedical staff, in connection with regional societies. Teaching courses are taught by a group of 3-5 Pediatric Nephrologists with a wide range of knowledge in nephrology as well as outstanding teaching credentials.
The courses last 3-5 days and tend to occur in underserved areas of the world.

Fellowship
IPNA has an established fellowship program to provide pediatricians who work far from a pediatric nephrology-training center with training in order to disseminate knowledge of pediatric nephrology to different regions around the world. The Fellowship Committee provides clinical fellowship for physicians coming from emerging countries.

Specific priorities in low resourced countries

World Kidney Day
The World Kidney Day programme promotes education and screening in children with kidney diseases all over the world during the yearly dedicated day around 10 March. Each year, IPNA encourages such an action by opening a contest and providing USD 5,000 to one pediatric nephrology center from a developing country. The WKD Committee is in charge of selecting the best project submitted.

Development
The Development Committee is in charge of seeking sponsorship with pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical companies in order to raise funds to ensure the financial viability of IPNA’s Teaching and Fellowship programme.

Sisters Centers Committee
The remit of the Sister Centers Committee is to identify “mentor centres” in well-resourced regions to establish renal units on a 1 to 1 basis (with priority to centres from Emerging Countries and preference to support previously trained IPNA/ISN fellows) and supervise the whole programme.
The aim of this programme is to assist in improving:
- Clinical training of staff (medical, nursing and allied health staff) involved in caring for children with kidney disease
- Developing and upgrading services for children with kidney diseases
- Education into the community for preventative strategies
- Clinical research development.

AKI & 0by25 Committee
The 0by25 initiative aims to eliminate preventable deaths from Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) worldwide by 2025. It is a global initiative with a strong emphasis on developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America with disadvantaged populations and poor access to care.
The Committee’s responsibility is to call for globally applicable strategies that permit timely diagnosis and treatment of AKI for patients with potentially reversible diseases.

Finance Committee
