Sad news for the entire PN community
With much regret we report that on 7 January 2019 Dr. Horacio Repetto, a founding member and key figure in the development of our society ALANEPE, passed away.
After completing his fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at University of Chicago, Dr. Repetto returned to his beloved Argentina, where he established the pediatric nephrology service at Hospital Nacional Alejandro Posadas, one of the most important hospitals in the country. In Argentina he is recognized as one of the pioneers and leaders of the specialty. He was a founding member of ALANEPE and IPNA councilor for 6 years. Dr. Repetto authored numerous scientific articles published in high-impact journals and participated in the training of many of the Latin American pediatric nephrologists. We will remember him for his passion, magisterial lectures in subjects such as renal physiology, tubulopathies, fluids and electrolytes, but above all, we will remember him for his humbleness , kindness and humaneness.
As a last tribute, please watch here the interview with Dr. Repetto.

Invitation to join the SONG-Kids Delphi Panel
The Standardized Outcomes in Nephrology – Kids (SONG-Kids) is an international initiative that aims to identify outcomes that are important to children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease, their caregivers and families, clinicians, and other health professionals. This will inform the development of a core outcome set to be reported in all clinical trials (and other research) in children with chronic kidney disease (all stages).
Establishing a core outcome set can help to ensure that trials report outcomes that are important and relevant for decision-making.
You are invited to participate in the SONG-Kids Delphi panel to achieve consensus (agreement) on the most important outcomes that should be included in the core outcome set for kidney disease. This involves completing a Delphi survey, which includes completing two rounds starting in June 2018 and each survey should take approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete. All participants will receive a copy of the results.
To join the SONG-Kids Delphi Panel, you can find the survey at:
